Up in the skies Mar 10, 2008 4:44 am

As a white angel he fell from the skies. The moment he touched the ground the creatures from the woods around him surrounded his body. Was he dead? One of the odd creatures poked him. He moved and the creature took a few steps back. What was this thing there in front of him; laying on the ground with big white wings.
The other creatures didn't wait. One stripped him of the wings and the others caught him in their net. They wrapped it around his body and placed him on a rope so they could lift him high in the skies.
And there, there high in the sky the man came to life and struggled for his life. But he did this with a lot of wows from the audience. Cirque Du Soleil started their show Varekai and I loved it.
It was indeed a great show with wonderful acrobatic performances, comedy, some drama, odd costumes and great music. Seeing is believing is what they say and in the case of Cirque du Soleil I can only say people are right. You have to see the tricks and you will also be in love with the skillful performances of these people.
It ended with a act on a swing. One guy winked me. 'Come on, you can also be one of us', his eyes said. But I felt safe being in my seat and I kindly refused. But deep in my heart and dreams I would also want to be part of this circus and fly through the skies while people applaud.

The bird Mar 2, 2008 8:47 am

My grandma has a little bird. He just walked in her house. I didn't had an appointment, but he was still welcome.
Today he was in his cage and his left eyes was swollen. My grandma was too scared to get him and putting a cream underneath his little black eye to heal the swollen parts. So she asked me. I am no hero, but I love animals.
Little yellow bird Sammi was flying and my hand was big. I know he was scared, but I wanted to help him. Finally I had him and I took him out of his cage very slowly. My niece did some cream on his eyelids and he was saved. Well at least we all hope so.
My grandma was happy and asked me to come more often to help her. I am always eager to save a life, so i might come there more often

It would be a nice fairytale, but sadly it has no happy end. The visa application didn't go through, so she cannot meet me here. Life is not fair.

Once upon a time... Feb 14, 2008 5:12 am

Once upon a time there was a boy and this boy had a dream. His dream was to be famous, and being rich wouldn't hurt him either. But this story doesn't have a happy end. The boy never became famous or rich, until today. No I'm not rich, but today I discovered the game I worked on back in 1999 on YouTube (type in 'Sixth Sense Investigations' for those curious). Someone made a nice move and he actually played it. The comments are hilarious and I can agree with most of them. It was a very interesting thing to endure. And in many ways it made me a richer person. So the experiences I gained I will use for the future. Not to be rich or famous, but just to be plain happy which is a much better goal in my humble opinion and I am already on my way up.

I miss her Feb 13, 2008 3:55 am

Today she left again. She will be back, but she is going to try to get her visa. I miss her. These are the times, and especially around Valentine's Day, I wish we were closer together. But only the future will and can tell what happens. For now I am enjoying the attention and love I get from her. Sometimes life can be a blessing, even when not everything goes the way we want it to go. That way there is always still something to desire for. And I have enough desires

She was small and he was tall. She was Chinese and he was Dutch. But they both loved each other. Every word coming out of his mouth was honey to her ears and with her hands she kept stroking his. It made me happy. I love love itself, but actually seeing it can make me even happier.
I can only wish for the same.

Status: online boyfriend Feb 8, 2008 4:10 am
Mood: happy, 780 Views
Finally the sun shines, so happy times reach me again. The Chinese New year has started, the year of the Rat. I ate a mandarin, for a year filled with good luck. So I am prepared. This will be MY year.
I have a friend. She is Chinese and lovely. She wants to be my girlfriend, so as of today I am her online boyfriend. But why mix myself together with a totally different culture? It is a question many ask me and even I have had the same question in the darks of the night. I don't know, to be honest. I am a curious person and I've always believed there is more in this world then just my own little world and reality. So I want to explore and see what else is out there. I always said I am a inhabitant of the world and not just of Holland and I really feel it like that. There is so much to explore, so much to discover. I can only feel it will enrich my life and make me a better person.
So I have a Chinese friend and she is lovely. Life is good

Books Sep 20, 2007 2:24 am

I was at a presentation. It was actually a book presentation of a co-worker of mine, so it was less boring as it may sound. My co-worker presented his second book at a cafe. It was packed with friends, family and us..a few co-workers. Yes we felt a bit out of place, or actually I did, but nothing new there. I drank, I had two snacks, I chatted a bit and I listened to a few passages of the book a two poets performing. It was Ok.
I bought his book and he signer 'For Raymond, a friend'. And I must admit I liked that the most. me and him are different. For one is size, but also in taste in women, literature, hobbies and more, but he is actually a nice guy. Maybe because we do share the same type of past; being without friends (a theme used in his books) and to that I can of course related. He is my co-worker and co-workers are never friends. It's my policy, but I know he could be one. So we'll see what the future brings, but for now I wish him success with his second book. I already started reading

Socks Aug 27, 2007 3:10 am

I have socks. Of course I have socks, but they don't match. For some reason I only have one half of a pair and many of them. The differences aren't that big though. All are in general black, dark blue and with some differences in the stitching. So as of today I am a true Pippi Longstocking. However I do wonder where my socks have been. Is there really a mountain with all the left socks in the world? Are they hiding with the wallas of my house or did they simply die? I wonder...

The word Aug 22, 2007 12:10 am

It suddenly appeared. At least that is how I saw it. Most likely it was already there, but recently my eye caught it. It was a black school board hanging at the train station. I don't know why, but today one word was written on it. The word spelled 'seeing'. I looked around to see, but I didn't know what it was I should be seeing. So tomorrow I will look again and see what the word of the day will be.
