As a white angel he fell from the skies. The moment he touched the ground the creatures from the woods around him surrounded his body. Was he dead? One of the odd creatures poked him. He moved and the creature took a few steps back. What was this thing there in front of him; laying on the ground with big white wings. The other creatures didn't wait. One stripped him of the wings and the others caught him in their net. They wrapped it around his body and placed him on a rope so they could lift him high in the skies. And there, there high in the sky the man came to life and struggled for his life. But he did this with a lot of wows from the audience. Cirque Du Soleil started their show Varekai and I loved it. It was indeed a great show with wonderful acrobatic performances, comedy, some drama, odd costumes and great music. Seeing is believing is what they say and in the case of Cirque du Soleil I can only say people are right. You have to see the tricks and you will also be in love with the skillful performances of these people. It ended with a act on a swing. One guy winked me. 'Come on, you can also be one of us', his eyes said. But I felt safe being in my seat and I kindly refused. But deep in my heart and dreams I would also want to be part of this circus and fly through the skies while people applaud.
