I've had some bad relationships and this makes it easier to be bitter and only focus on the bad. Simply because some of the bad were very bad things. But nothing is without good. So there were a lot of good things too, maybe even more. But they are harder to remember. This weekend I was in town and I heard a song playing through the speakers. It was a song I heard the first time I was in America, alone in a hotel room with the girl I later would love. The song was appropriate because I wanted to do what they were singing about. I never did, because I didn't had the guts. But this song got stuck in my mind and got connected with the good times I had. So I heard it again and for a short time I felt the butterflies again. It is amazing what music can do to a person. In my case it reminded me of a good time and it made me smile. So this post is a dedication to the good times I sometimes tend to forget, but need to remember.
Here is the song:
Kiss me out of the bearded barley. Lightly, beside the green, green grass. Swing, swing, swing the spinning step. You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress. Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight. Lead me out on the moonlit floor. Lift your open hand. Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance, silver moon's sparkling. So kiss me. Kiss me down by the broken tree house. Swing me high upon its hanging tire. Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat. We'll take the trail marked on your father's map. Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight. Lead me out on the moonlit floor. Lift your open hand. Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance, silver moon's sparkling. So kiss me. Kiss me beneath the milky twilight. Lead me out on the moonlit floor. Lift your open hand. Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance, silver moon's sparkling. So kiss me. So kiss me. So kiss me. So kiss me.
