The Internet is corrupted. It all started out in a nice and clean way. People were connected to each other and the net was there to help them find information, send jokes and mails. But now it seems everything is flooded with spam mail, unwanted ads, viruses and spam pals. The latter is driving me crazy. It makes me wonder who's real on Internet and who isn't. I see ghosts everywhere and every mail, every chat request is valued with the greatest care and even after that everyone is tested. I cannot take the risk of being a victim of a spam pal. So I have to check everything. But isn't this pathetic? This should not be how a stroll over the net need to be. The net should be safe and nice. But it isn't. Of course not everyone is like that and probably the biggest part of the online friends are real people and in fact really nice people. But the 4+ mails a month I get from Russian girls wanting to marry me, the chat requests of African ladies in disguise and so on.. they are driving me crazy. So how do you handle with it? How do you make sure you are talking to someone genuine? How do you tell? The obvious ones are easy to spot, but what about the hard ones, the ones that adapt? How to spot those? |

muffles, hey, dear, what happen to you, why soo frustrated?? It's hard to find genuine ppl all over, in real life too. Checking profiles does not make any sense. I found my best friends on chat rooms. We exchanged YM id's and you can see on cam who is real. My profile was closed, perhaps that will help you too, to stop spam mails. No clue, but I wish you will find a way. Take your time  .Grace
