I hate spiders. Let me start by stating that fact. I hate spiders and I have no idea why. They are small and over here, in Holland, not dangerous at all. But still, when I see one, it just freaks me. And my immediate reaction is to squash them. So the first time I saw a 'huge' spider in my shed I freaked and I wanted to kill it. I don't know what stopped me, but the spider is still alive and every summer I see her sitting in the corner. I know it's a her because she has babies from time to time. By letting her live I generate more spiders for the world; the spiders I hate. But I cannot kill her. It is silly to be afraid of such a little thing. Every summer she sits there and this will be her last summer, because I will move. So she is now a remembrance of 11 years in my present house. I've experienced a lot in that house. I had extreme joys but also very deep valleys to wade through. I will miss it. I will miss that little spider in the corner in my shed.
